With this advance technology shops benefit greatly. It simply makes us more efficient, which not only benefits us but our customers.  In some cases we can load a part and take it out complete. This  allows us to hit all critical dimension together. In most cases you will always have a second operation. We typically clamp on the least critical feature so we are machining all critical dimensions together.   With a  3 axis Mill you would need to move the part two more times in order to make the same part.
